Ngāi Tahu are the legal kaitiaki of New Zealand greenstone and the only source for authentic Pounamu. For their 2022-2023 campaign, Māui Studios collaborated with the talented team at Ngāi Tahu Pounamu to capture visuals that celebrates this sacred stone. We decided to use an easy access and significant location at the Botanic Gardens to capture models in a series of dynamic outfits, taonga and scenarios.
