Being prepared gives us the best chance to ensure we have considered the needs of everyone in our whare, from our pēpi to our tāua and pōua, and even our pets.

Kauraka e Mataku, Kia Takatū (Don’t be Scared be Prepared) was an emergency response campaign designed in 2022 by Māui Studios and Ngāi Tahu Whānui for Ngāi Tahu whānau in order to create awareness around staying prepared for natural disasters. The initiative was supported by Civil Defense and Tahu FM, and elevated the concept of Go-Bags for whānau to create their own emergency kits, and making a plan for when disaster strikes!
